Outside looking In

Here's to remembering the good times.....so obliterated that your true musical desires unleash themselves over the parties speakers to your poor unsuspecting friends.

"Till I Hear From You" by The Gin Awesomes (Blossoms) from the Empire Records Soundtrack {mp3} [BUY]

With some sick melodies and shredding adult contemporary guitar action the Gin Blossoms have always been a guilty pleasure of mine. Short lived but undeniably genius Walt and I started a cover band in college called the Gin Awesomes. I spent two weeks learning two songs and we almost practiced once. Good times.

"Private Eyes" by Hall & Oates from the album Private Eyes {mp3} [BUY]

The pioneers of early 80's "Rock and Soul" these crazy bastards had 6 #1 hits! In my eyes though this cut takes the cake with it's amazing hand clap fusion. It can honestly pull any group of drunken a-holes together in a matter of seconds.

Trying to Forget You: Guilty Pleasures from the Mixtape

1. "Cryin'" by Aerosmith from Get a Grip
2. "Cornflake Girl" by Tori Amos from Under the Pink
3. "Till I Hear From You" by The Gin Blossoms from Empire Records
4. "Private Eyes" by Hall & Oates from Private Eyes
