(brothers all sleepy & excited on christmas day -1990)About one month ago, my brother broke the Ohio seal and made his way to the west coast for grad school. This little mix is dedicated to him while he's busy studying, writing & keeping dibs on Kat from L.A. ink .

1. "West Coast" by Coconut Records {mp3} [BUY]
- Coconut Records is Jason Schwartzman's solo project. It's a fun, catchy little record that I've been obsessed with lately. Oh, and ex-girlfriend Zooey Deschanel makes several appearances on the album as well
2. "American Hearts" by A A Bondy {mp3} [BUY]
-One of the warmest sounding records ever. This is a must for any road trip.
3. "Your Own Tree" by Blake Miller {mp3}[BUY]
-a perfect blend of thom yorke/devendra banhart hush vocals
4. "Los Angeles, I'm Yours" by The Decemberists {mp3} [BUY]
-"There is a city by the sea..."
5. Church on White" by Stephen Malkmus {mp3} [BUY]
- Probably my favorite Malkmus/Pavement song.

sweet. i listened to the road trip cd on my way to school friday. the one thing nice about the long drive is lots of music time.
"Church on White" certainly is a good song.
